Each radio program is divided into three different sections: Interviews, Health, and Culture. The Interview section touches on relevant issues for the Latino community. In the Health section, we provide information about disease prevention and family health and wellness, nutrition, food safety, seasonal diseases, and mental health among other topics. In the Culture section, we feature a wide variety of topics including Latin American customs, historical events, holidays, and information about important writers, painters, and other artists from Latin America and the United States.

Nuevos Horizontes can be used as a teaching tool to help students improve their oral comprehension in Spanish. It offers a variety of Spanish accents from Latin America. Nuevos Horizontes can be used by any Spanish class or for self listening.
