New low power AM radio station at University of Illinois
Nuevos Horizontes is a partner in a campus wide initiative at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign to develop a campus low-power AM radio station that will provide Spanish language programs 24 hours, 7 days a week.
This radio station will provide Latino music, and news and interviews in Spanish on topics of interests to the Spanish speaking students and faculty at the University of Illinois. Students on campus will have the opportunity to develop their own radio programs. Nuevos Horizontes will provide program content for the station and training for students interested in radio broadcasting.

Puerto Rico Salsa Congress
From July 27th to July 31st, the most important international salsa event took place in San Juan , Puerto Rico . The Salsa Congress offered a wide variety of programs and special events. The Salsa Congress was also a venue where the world's best salsa dancers presented spectacular performances. Our Nuevos Horizontes reporter, Bris Mueller, interviewed Eli Irizarry, founder and president of this event. We invite you to listen to this special edition of the September 5 th program.
